“Mind” your business

Today I was just contemplating on the state of Contemporary India, where ostensibly we have the right to free speech, express our minds without any fear of opposition from anybody. And thats precisely what a true democracy stands for where Everybody is entitled to their opinion & also have the right to express it. But when we see the absence of eminent writers like Salman Rushdie because of some insane people protesting against him I am left completely flabbergasted.

We as a country need to come out of this narrow mindset & concentrate on far more important issues such as the impoverished state of the minorities in our country. Ensuring proper hygiene, sanitation, education , employment for all. We need to look at the larger picture, the REAL Issues instead of resorting to violent ways like Vandalism of public events & threaten somebody. Ofcourse you do have the right to disagree but just cant threaten anyone. That is just gross & utterly appalling .
